Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo (born in Surabaya, East Java, May 26, 1972, age 36 years) or better known as Ahmad Dhani / Dhani Manaf is a musician, songwriter, arranger, and producer of Indonesia. Dhani is the leader of top band, Dewa 19 and also personnel band The Rock. Dhani also is the owner and chairman of the Republic of Love Management. Dhani has scored a lot of hits and successful orbit a number of groups and singers such as Reza Artamevia, Ari Lasso, Tere, Queen (now Duo Maia), Agnes Monica, Mulan Jameela, Dewi Dewi, Tim Christensen, Sophia Latjuba, Titi DJ, Krisdayanti (KD), and others.

Dewa 19

Dhani musical talent began to flare up when sitting on the bench SMPN 6 Surabaya. Dhani with his three best friends Andra, Erwin Prasetya, and Henry, then establish DEWA band in 1986. Dhani act on vocals and keyboards. So crazy about music, not infrequently Dhani skip school to simply gather with her friends at DEWA to just play a musical instrument at home Henry in Airlangga University complex. Dhani original focus on track rock, then try the path of jazz music which is then followed by the change of name God be Downbeat. Together Downbeat, Dhani had won the Jazz Festival Teenagers in East Java, the first winner Festival '90 or a champion high school band II Djarum Super Fiesta Musical. But finally, Dhani back on track rock and flying the flag DEWA 19 with the addition of Ari Lasso.

Since there is no adequate studio in Surabaya, in 1991 Ahmad Dhani moved to Jakarta to look for a record company that would label the Dewa 19. With a minimum investment, Dhani stepping capital jungle, roaming from one record companies to the record company to use city buses. After had rejected a number of labels, eventually Dhani ogled by Jan Djuhana of Team Records. Dhani effort not in vain, first album Dewa 19 (1992) successfully large because of the skyrocketing number of hits such as "Kangen" and "We are’t Loving Again ". The album was recorded as the best-selling album in 1993 and the Dewa was awarded as best newcomer. Success continues Dewa 19 on subsequent albums. To date no fewer than eleven albums Dhani has been released together with Dewa, namely Dewa 19 (1992), Format Masa Depan (1994), Best of the Best (1995), Pandawa Lima (1997), The Best Of Dewa 19 (1999), Bintang Lima (2000), Cintailah Cinta (2002), Atas Nama Cinta I & II (2004), Laskar Cinta (2004), Republik Cinta(2006), and Kerajaan Cinta (2007). Despite several times through change of personnel, to this day Dewa 19 still remains exist in Indonesian music.

Other Careers

Besides active in Dewa 19, Dhani also busy with other activities. In 1999, she had given birth Ahmad Band, which was known by the song "Kuldesak" and " Aku Cinta Kau Dan Dia ". In addition, Dhani also be produced other artists in addition to Dewa 19. In 1999, he successfully catapulted the name of Reza Artamevia.

The Rock

Starting from recording solo albums in Australia, Dhani met with 4 members Fire Shark bands, namely Mark Williams, Zachary Haidee-Keene, Michael Bennett, Clancy Alexander Tucker. In the Year betemu personnel Dhani 5 members namely Cameria Happy Pramita (Guitar, Backing Vocals), ICES (Bass), Tharaz Bistara (Guitar), Ikmal Tobias (Drummer) and Last Revelation Sudiro (Guitar) ALBUM LAUNCHING TRIAD at The Rock Cafe Jakarta February 19, 2010 has already released an album with his hits singles “Being God’s Most Sexy” singer Mulan Jameela’s second single hits titled “Mustapha” belonging to Queen West Band hits third and final 2010 entitled “The Concubine Heart”.

Jazz

One of the favorite music The Beard (Dhani close calls) is Jazz music. He worked together with Tim Oram, Jazz musicians in Sydney. Together with his team collaborated with jazz musicians in Australia. There are 4 songs on the album The Rock Jazz, and April 2009, he released the album 100% Jazz with the title “The Best Is Yet To Come.

Personal Life

Dhani was married Maia Estianty in 1994, after a long time to establish love since Dhani still in SMA 2 Surabaya. From their marriage, both have 3 children. Dhani name their children according to the Sufi leader who admires, namely Ahmad Al Gazali, El Jalaluddin Rumi, and Ahmad Abdul Qadir Jailani.
